The 2017 cross country

It was the cross country today! Unlike most people, I like the cross country but today is different. We had to be marshals! I didn’t want to be one at the start but it turned out it was  quite fun! Once we thought that it was our race so we started running back and then relised the year fives (we are the year sixes) still had to do another lap! We sprinted back to guide them when the teacher finally came back and told us to come. We started to talk when we lined up. The teach yelled at us to quiet down. And then finally I heard it. BANG! We ran and we ran and we ran. There were only 6 people in our race. We ran around the paddock, around the block, around the paddock again, around the field and we finished! I CAME 2nd FOR 2 YEARS IN A ROW! I tried to walk to Mum but I collapsed straight away! I did it! Sahara came first, I came second.
